Responsibilities

Overview:

Ensure accuracy and quality of written content prior to publishing or distribution of the materials to the reader of the financial statement(s)

 

Location: Milbrook, NY (In-Office)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and editing content for grammar, punctuation, and syntax
  • Verifying the accuracy of dates, statistics, and other referenced information
  • Identify and correct errors and inconsistencies
  • Suggesting edits, constructive feedback, and making changes using digital commenting and editing tools
  • Completing tasks in alignment with production deadlines
  • Verifying that a newly formatted document doesn't contain rendering errors

Skills:

  • Advanced or expert level working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in proofreading software and related tools
  • Writing/Editing: Excellent comprehension of English language
  • Computer Proficiency
  • Attention to Detail
  • Comprehension of financial glossary and terms
  • Resourcefulness
  • Time Management

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
    • Highly preferred: Bachelor's degree in English, Communication, Journalism, or similar specialization
    • Ample experience working in related position will be accepted in lieu of formal education
